Wilmore is 10 miles southwest of
Lexington, Ky in the heart of the Bluegrass
region of Kentucky. The city is home to
Asbury College and Asbury Seminary.
People are drawn to Wilmore for education
and the Christian influence throughout the
community. Wilmore's 5000 residents love
the many community events throughout the
year. From the annual flower sale in May, the
Festival of the Fourth of July, the Summer
Music on the Green, The Fall Festival and
The Old Fashioned Musical Christmas; the
residents are always prepared to experience
the current event.
Wilmore has an old-fashioned soda fountain
at Sims Drug where Tastebuds offers great
pizza, sandwiches and a complete soda
fountain. Solomon's Porch is open each day
until 10:pm with great food and a favorite of
locals and visitors. Scott Station Inn and
Annex are open for all visitors and we have 4
beauty shops, one barber, a florist, gift and
frame shop - a pizza restaurant, Mexican
restaurant, Chinese restaurant, and Subway.
All your printing needs can be met at Great
Impressions and IGA can accomodate all
your grocery and country ham needs. We
also have several physicians and a dentist.
With 10 churches in town, you are sure to
meet some wonderful people.
It is just about the best little city in Kentucky
and I am happy to call it home. Please come
for a visit soon!
